Overview

|
Arguably one of South Beach's most glamorous hotels. It's an historic 1930's villa which belonged to the italian fashion designer Gianni Versace, which lends to its unique and enchanting atmosphere, featuring a blend of Persian, Egyptian and English style. Each suite is individual and has inlaid furniture, wall mosaics and Italian marble baths.
Gianni Versace purchased the building in 1992 for $2.9 million. After receiving city approval, he demolished the hotel next door, and a two-story, 6,100-foot addition was built, transforming it into Versace's Miami Beach house. He has lived in Casa Casuarina for long time.
After his dead, Peter Loftin, a top billionaire manager, purchased the house from the Versace Estate - the family company of Versace Fashion- in September 2000 for approximately $19 million and has since resided there from time to time. Casa Casuarina, the scene of Versace's 1997 murder, is became now a Barton G. property.
What our Guests say:
Casa Casuarina - former name of the Hotel - was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was impeccable, the food was heavenly and the rooms were indescribably beautiful. ♥ The unique atmosphere makes up for the rather middle class reception/concierge service! The roof-top terrace is a must; one should have no other duties in life that hanging out up there with a carafe of ice cold Champagne-orange!
Luxuriate in one of the Villa’s custom suites featuring king sized beds or custom double king beds, custom Italian marble oversized bathrooms with two shower heads, expansive closet space, separate living rooms or sitting areas and balconies or patios. Enjoy exclusive access to The Thousand Mosaic Pool and two private lounges.
Worship the sun or gaze at the stars from The Rooftop Lounge. Amenities at The Villa include personal British-trained butlers, Frette linens, Thierry Mugler toiletries, Kindle e-readers with complementary electronic newspaper delivery, Sonos systems and WiFi throughout the property. Guests can find respite inside the walls of 19,000 square-foot Villa or venture steps from the property to enjoy fine dining, shopping and entertainment.
The Villa is your oasis in South Beach.
