What our Guests say:
1) Bond Street (this street is between the 19th and 20th and Collins Avenue in South Beach. In the same area you can find the Shore Club Hotel and the Setai Hotel ), Nobu and Hakassan…I personally like Hakassan the best.
2) Best sushi with value for money is Doraku in my opinion. Sushi is always very fresh and the Doraku roll is to die for!
(You can find this Restaurant in 1104 Lincoln Rd up to the Lincoln Rd Mall).
3) Nobu is delicious but inconsistent. Blade at Hotel Fountainbleu is also good. Sometime in this place you need to wait a looot!
4) Asia bay in Bal Harbor on 96 st is also a great option. You need a car or cab. It’s about half hour by car from SoBe.
Sushi Samba on Lincoln is always fun and consistent!
5) Bond Street at the restaurant of the Town House Hotel.

6) Definitely Bond ST and NOBU!
7) Bond Street and Mr Yum if you are staying in Brickell Miami.
8) This is my ranking:
a. Sakura - Best Japanese in Miami. Value, but not looks. It’s not in a nice neighborhood, but it is the only Japanese restaurant in Miami where you find Japanese people eating!
b. Matsuri – near Coral Gables
c. Sushi Rock – Miami Beach (I haven’t been there in a while)
d. Zuma – A new Japanese is opening at the Epic Hotel in downtown Miami at the end of May. I passed by today and decor looks great, however we have to wait and see.
e. Nobu is undoubtedly good, but sometimes feels like an overpriced cliche!

What our Guests say:
1) Four suggestions: Hotel Mondrian in 1100 West Avenue (in front of Star Island), Hotel Fontainebleau, Hotel Gansevoort and The W Hotels in Collins Avenue.
2) I’ve heard great things about all of those hotels….which one is the best? I would like a hotel that has a DJ by the Pool…great Restaurants inside the hotel…and even a happening nightclub in the hotel…..Which hotel is best for that? I heard the Shore Club Hotel is great…thanks for the response :)
3) A friend of mine stayed at the Shore Club Hotel a few months ago and he didn’t like it.
The party was ok…but it gets a little too trashy on Sundays.
note from MySoBe.com:
Joshua, one of our Guest, has reported us bad news – few days ago – about Shore Club: My partner and I booked a night at this hotel and were greeted by a rude staff and a urine puddle on the floor in our room. When we approached the staff about it we were not offered a resolution and left the hotel. We have contacted the corporate office several times about this issue and the puddle has now been blamed on us. We were in the hotel for less than an hour and charged for a full stay.
This is a horrible hotel. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! There are much nicer, cleaner, and friendlier hotels in the SOBE area for the same price if not less.
I sent in my experience as a review to warn future visitors about this hotel. This is not a high end hotel and shouldn’t be rated as such.
We have had plenty of wonderful experiences in SOBE thanks to your site and will definitely be back.
For this reason the Hotel Shore Club has gone down in MySoBe.com rating from 4.19/5.00 to 4.01/5.00

Arguably one of South Beach’s most glamorous Hotels. It’s an historic 1930’s villa which belonged to the never forgot Fashion Designer Gianni Versace, which lends to its unique and enchanting atmosphere, featuring a blend of Persian, Egyptian and English style.
Each suite is individual and has inlaid furniture, wall mosaics and Italian marble baths. This 5-Star Hotel in South Beach furnished with unique furniture especially made by the designer. There is a Cigar room, a terrace on the ocean and a caviar lounge – a fairytale hotel.
Recently has changed ownership to the famous Restaurant in Miami Beach: Barton G. Its a very exclusive location in the middle of Ocean Drive and its a expensive restaurant.

Windsurfing
The most popular spot in town is off Rickenbacker Causeway, between he toll gate and Miami Seaquarium, followed by Dinner Key. Some hotels in south beach and half a dozen specialised dealers rent equipment.
Waterskiing
If your hotel in Miami doesn’t have boats or skiing gear, you can fit yourself out at one of the ski centres along the Rickenbacker and 79th Street causeways. For a real thrill, try jet-skiing around the bay, a really amazing experience.
Surfing
The biggest rollers come in to shore at South Pointe and Haulover Beach.
Boating
Oceanfront hotels in South Beach area, a part those ones in Ocean Drive, generally have a flotilla of catamarans and sunfish sailing boats for hire, while several firms at Dinner Key in Coconut Grove and at the Miami Beach Marina rent sailing boats by the hour, half-day, day and week. If you’ve never sailed before, the protected waters of Biscayne Bay make a good place to learn. Most hire companies advise beginners to complete at least six hours of instruction before going out alone. So, if you are a fans of this sport we suggest to book an Hotel in Coconut. You will be at 40 minutes from South Beach by car.

Motor boats are available at Pelican Harbor Marina on the 79th Street Causeway, Crandon Marina on Key Biscayne and Flamingo Marina in Everglades National Park. Canoeing is popular in the Everglades, but some trails require more skill than others-notably Hell’s Bay and the Wilderness Waterway.
You can rent a canoe by the hour at the Flamingo Marina, although Everglades Canoe Outfitters, just outside the national park entrance, offers the most complete service.

What to Do
The resort metropolis of Miami Beach offers tourist activities of all kinds, although the beach comes first for most people, with a little shopping and nightclubbing on the side. Sports: virtually every warm-weather sport is catered for Miami.
The resort hotels in Miami and Miami Beach all have swimming pools, tennis and shuffleboard courts. A few maintain golf greens on the premises. In any case, if you are looking for a Golf Court in Miami Beach, you can find the Miami Municipal Golf Course between Alton Road and Meridian Avenue. If you need to buy something of food, near to Golf Club, you can find a supermarket Public on the Dade Boulevard.

Water Sports
Bay beaches are best for windsurfing and water-skiing, ocean beaches for swimming. For an up-to-the-minute weather report, including full details of wind, sea and suntanning conditions, call the Weather Line: 976-1010 (24- hour service).

A morning exploring the East Martello Tower and Museum, followed by an afternoon at the beach and a visit to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. Bring a picnic, or buy a snack lunch at a beach stall. Don’t forget swimming gear and sunbiock.
Built in the mid-1800s to protect Key West from enemy attack, the city’s two historic towers are located on the southeast side of the island, both facing the Atlantic Ocean. The East Martello Tower (daily 9.3Oam-5pm) is on South Roosevelt Boulevard next to the entrance to the Key West International Airport.
Looking like an upside down flower pot, this cylindrical, Civil War brick fort was never fully completed or ever used in the defense of the island.
Designed to ward off coastal attacks, the tower was modeled after an ancient Corsican design.
A small part of the tower now serves as a museum for military uniforms and artifacts from the US battleship Maine, which was blown up in Havana Harbor in 1898, during the Spanish-American War. A circular staircase in the fort’s main tower leads to a citadel which provides a wonderful, sweeping view of the island and ocean. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the fort itself is a well respected attraction.
But the main draw of the tower is the East Martello Historical Museum and Art Gallery.

Downtown
Between Biscayne Boulevard and Miami Avenue, tacky treasure troves sell unbelievably cheap electronic goods and jewellery. For more upscale shopping, take the Metromover to the 16-acre waterfront Bayside Marketplace (more mall than market). Beware that some electronic offers are out of production or old models. Take care also regarding the voltage equipment. Try to choose the ones who offer 110v and 220v if you live outside US.
Wynwood and the Design District
Two art and designer furniture neighborhoods just north of downtown Miami, have become the equivalent to New York’s Chelsea in terms of arty design and retail.
Coconut Grove
Visit Ritchie Swimwear, 3401 Main Highway. Not cheap, but you will look fabulous.
Coral Gables
Books & Books, 296 Aragon Avenue. The best bookstore south of the Mason-Dixon line.
